Background
Android operating systems continue to evolve. Older operating systems become obsolete and users need to upgrade those systems. Many (but not all) tablets support these software upgrades. Over time all tablets get so old they can no longer be upgraded. See the table below for a recent version history.
The pace of change is fast – we recommend replacing tablets every three years to keep up with security features, memory size and speed needed to run all programs – including Sales Builder Pro – effectively.
Internet security protocols also continue to evolve. For example, Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol is now replacing Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol as the standard security technology linking an app to the cloud.
What does this mean for Sales Builder Pro users?
- Sales Builder Pro users MUST upgrade to 12.0 or higher as soon as practical. (Table 1)
- Keep your software as up-to-date as possible.
- Plan to replace your tablet every 3 years.
- Check what version of Android you have on your device link.
