Background
Apple iOS operating systems continue to evolve. Older operating systems become obsolete and users need to upgrade those systems. Many (but not all) tablets support these software upgrades. Over time all tablets get so old they can no longer be upgraded. See the table below for a recent version history.
The pace of change is fast – we recommend replacing tablets every three years to keep up with security features, memory size and speed needed to run all programs – including Sales Builder Pro – effectively.
Internet security protocols also continue to evolve. For example, Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol is now replacing Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol as the standard security technology linking an app to the cloud.
What does this mean for Sales Builder Pro users?
- We will support iPads that are still being supported by Apple and running iPadOS 15. Apple typically supports iPads with software updates for 5-7 years, but performance and security updates may make replacement necessary sooner.
- Keep your software as up-to-date as possible.
- Plan to replace your tablet every 3 years.
- Sales Builder Pro will support iPads that are currently supported by Apple
- Reference Table 1 below to determine if your iPad is still supported.
- Not sure what generation of iPad you have? Apple Support - Identify your iPad model.
