Scenario:
Comfort Consultant wants to quote equipment with OPTIONAL accessories.
The final quote would have equipment on option 1, then optional UV on option 2, and some other accessory on option 3. The Comfort Consultant wants to show the same payment comparisons on all 3 options, then the customer would select options 1 & 2 to include the UV light with the equipment.
The Comfort Consultant selected equipment for option 1, 2, and 3 and then selected add-ons and accessories. The payment types included Cash and 2 "compare" finance programs. Then she cleared out the equipment on option 2 & 3, so those options would ONLY have accessories. The Proposal PDF will include the Cash and 2 finance programs for comparison.
What if the customer doesn't want to pay cash and the Comfort Consultant does not want to show cash anymore on this proposal?
If the Comfort Consultant goes back to options 2 & 3 and removes the Cash Comparison, the Cash Comparison removal will not save. This is because there's no longer any equipment on the option, so any changes to the payment types will NOT be saved. The Proposal PDF will include the Cash Price for option 2 and 3.
The recommended way to use compared payment types with accessory/add-on-only options is to either:
1) Have a $1 piece of equipment configured in the price book - to select on the option tab. Your CSS can set this up for you. (We would include a model in your price book - "Accessory Only Quote @ $1)
2) Or, type any text in Type, Manufacturer, and Model on the option tab
Then any changes you make in the payment types section WILL be saved. See screenshots for an example.
